PET FOOD PANTRY The ACAB Pet Food Pantry is located on Commerce Street across from the old Sterling China plant. There will be monthly giveaways of cat and dog food.

Our next giveaway will be held Saturday, June 20th starting at 11:00 AM.

ABOUT OUR PROGRAM The ACAB started the Pet Food Giveaway when it was realized there was a need for such a program. The major concern with this was the lack of adequate storage space to house and distribute the food.
The ACAB approached the new owner of the Sterling China buildings, about the possibility of using the old outlet. He was more than helpful with ACAB's situation. He generously offered the building at no cost to the ACAB but informed them that they would be responsible for cleaning it up. No problem! The committee, which consists of Connie Carmichael, Sharon Buswell, Ruth Ensinger, Nunzio Lombardozzi and Faye Lombardozzi, went to work. The committee spent much time, energy and resources clearing out what had been left behind by the previous owners and although the building is still in need of a lot of repair, it was in suitable condition for the first Giveaway which was held on January 10.
Most of the pet food is donated by HSCC whose members work tirelessly to make life better for the animals in Columbiana County. Even with their generous contributions the demand is greater than the supply. At this time we have a real need for bags of dry cat food. This is why the ACAB graciously accepts donations of food, as well as monetary donations, from the community.
